E. Denise Stovell, President, Stovell Marketing and Public Relations (Stovell+MPR), began her career as a marketing communications professional in 1983 when she became a "media tour coordinator" at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide in Chicago. Following senior management positions with Edelman, Burrell Communications Group, Sara Lee Corporation, Museum of Broadcast Communications and Brookfield Zoo, she launched her own firm with a client list that included Sears, Roebuck and Company, Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, Flowers Communications Group, McDonald's Corporation and DePaul University.Over the years with clients ranging from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council to Phillip Morris USA to MBE Magazine,she is proud of Stovell+MPR's reputation for delivering successful events that exceed client goals. Elizabeth M. Newton, CMP, Vice President, Stovell Marketing and Public Relations, Inc. (Stovell+MPR), has handled all aspects of conferences and conventions ranging in size from 80 – 35,000 attendees in more than 12 years as an event management industry professional. This includes managing the registration process from database programming to on-site staff training and supervision. She has also directed the overall customer service aspect of trade show floor operations for conventions including booth assignments, handling payments and development of financial reports. Elizabeth earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in September 2008. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and currently serves as a member of PMPI’s (Potomac Chapter of MPI) Publications Committee. She is also serving her second term as Website Committee Chair and she is a member of MPI’s sitting Industry Advisory Panel.
